Separate sealed bids for the construction of WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT A, SRF PROJECT NO. DWI-L140004-01 & DWI-L140004-02 will be received by the TOWN OF FRIARS POINT, herein called the “owner” at the office of 700 2ND STREET, FRIARS POINT, MS 38631 until 10:00 AM, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2024 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project will consist of the following approximate bid items/quantities: repair and repainting of one 100,000-gallon elevated water storage tank.

The PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

Contract Documents are issued to potential Bidders only as paper copies from Plan House Printing and Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804. Bidders may opt to purchase Contract Documents online at www.cceplanroom.com. All payments for Bid Documents are non-refundable and shall be made payable to Plan House Printing and Graphics, 607 West Main Street, Tupelo, MS 38804.

Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of Planholders maintained by Plan House Printing.

Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.

This contract is funded in whole or in part by funds as is established in the Safe Drinking Water Act’s State Revolving Loan Funds (42 U.S.C. 300j-12); therefore, this project must comply with the American Iron and Steel requirements of the Act.

Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by anticipated funds from the Drinking Water Systems Improvements Revolving Loan Fund (DWSIRLF) loan program from the State of Mississippi. Neither the State of Mississippi, the Local Governments and Rural Water Systems Improvements Board nor any of their employees will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting or related contracts. This procurement will be subject to all applicable sections of the Mississippi code of 1972, Annotated, as they apply to local governments, in accordance with Appendix D of the DWSIRLF Program Regulations.
