Notice is hereby given that the City of Louisville, Mississippi will receive sealed bids for the construction of improvements planned as part of t he North Industrial Connector Road Reclamation and Extension Project.
Bids will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, located at 200 South Church Avenue, Louisville, Mississippi, 39339 until 10:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Bid documents are being made available via original paper copy or digital file. Plan holders are required to register for an account at www.neel-schafferplans.com to view and order Bid Documents. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Electronic bids shall be submitted at the Plan House website portal www.neelschafferplans.com. CERTIFICATE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Each contractor submitting a bid in excess of $50,000.00 must show on his bid and on the face of the envelope containing the bid, his Certificate of Responsibility Number, as required by Section 31-3-21 and 21-3-15, Mississippi Code of 1972. If the bid does not exceed $50,000.00, a notation so stating must appear on the face of the envelope.
EVIDENCE: No bid will be opened, considered or accepted unless the above information is given as specified. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder’s Bond issued by a surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Louisville as bid security. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All contractors responding to this advertisement for bids must comply with all applicable requirements of Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended.
The City of Louisville hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award.
The proposal section 905 in its entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and deposited in the offices of the City Clerk, located at 200 South Church Avenue, Louisville, Mississippi 39339 prior to the hour and date above designated. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date of actual bid opening, without the consent of the City. The City of Louisville reserves the right to reject any and all bids received, to waive any informalities or irregularities therein, or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the City.
