The Town of Ackerman is requesting sealed bids for construction of the Sewer Rehabilitation Improvements Phase I project. All bids shall be marked Bids for Town of Ackerman – Sewer Rehabilitation Improvements Phase I on the outside of the envelope. All bids shall be submitted to the Town of Ackerman until 10:00 A.M. local time, July 16, 2024, at the offices of the Town of Ackerman located at 45 E Main Street, (P.O. Box 394), Ackerman, MS 39735. Bids will be opened at the Town of Ackerman. Any bid received after 10:00 A.M. will not be opened. The Town of Ackerman reserves the right to reject any or all bids.

The project generally consists of the construction of Sewer Rehabilitation Improvements Phase I.

The plans and specifications for the project are on file for public inspection in the offices of the Town of Ackerman and the offices of Neel-Schaffer, Inc., 7085 Hwy 45 Alternate North, West Point, MS 39773.

Bid documents are being made available electronically and via original paper copy (if requested). Plan holders are required to register for an account at www.neel-schafferplans.com to view and order Bid Documents. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Electronic bids shall be submitted through www.neel-schafferplans.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. The Owner hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively insure that disadvantaged and woman-owned business enterprises will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation. When considering the award of any contract resulting from this invitation, the Owner will not discriminate against any bidder on the grounds of race, gender, or national origin.

Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in whole or in part by anticipated funds from the ARPA Mississippi Municipality & County Water Infrastructure Grant Program (MCWI). Neither the State of Mississippi nor any of their employees is or will be a party to this invitation for bids or any resulting or related contracts. This procurement will be subject to all applicable sections of the Mississippi Code of 1972, Annotated, as they apply to local governments, in accordance with MCWI Program Regulations.
