SR 7 Water & Sewer Relocations, Phase II B #15959

The City of Oxford, (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

SR 7 WATER & SEWER RELOCATIONS, PHASE II B

The Project includes the following Work: The potable water section of the project consists of installation of 11,500 linear feet of 16” diameter ductile iron pipe; 2,840 linear feet of 12” diameter ductile iron pipe; 180 linear feet of 10” diameter ductile iron pipe; 760 linear feet of 8” ductile iron pipe; 290 linear feet of 30” HDPE directionally bored; 980 linear feet of 18” HDPE directionally bored; 540 linear feet of 16” HDPE casing directionally bored; 160 linear feet of 14” HDPE directionally bored; 80 linear feet of 10” HDPE directionally bored; 790 linear feet of 24” steel casing bored; 115 linear feet of 18” steel casing bored; 347 linear feet of 16” ductile iron pipe bored; 20 linear feet of 8” ductile iron pipe bored; 195 linear feet of miscellaneous service bores; 1,295 linear feet of 18” HDPE installed in casing; 600 linear feet of 10” HDPE installed in casing; and associated valves, fire hydrants, fittings, and appurtenances. The sanitary sewer section of the project consists of installation of 2,669 linear feet of 12” through 4” diameter PVC gravity sewer main; 168 linear feet of 18” steel casing bored and jacked; 320 linear feet of 14” steel casing bored and jacked; 112 linear feet of 18” steel casing open-cut; 355 linear feet of 14” steel casing open-cut; 7 sanitary sewer manholes; and associated appurtenances.

Sealed or electronic bids for the construction of SR 7 Water & Sewer Relocations, Phase II B, will be received by the City of Oxford, in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 107 Courthouse Square, Oxford, Mississippi 38655, until 11:00 o’clock A.M. local time on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, and shortly thereafter publicly opened and read.

Bids are requested for a single prime contract. The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder for the Base Bid.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Contract Documents are available in paper or digital format. Interested parties are required to register online to view or order bid documents at www.oxfordmsbids.com. Bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. Bids may be submitted in either sealed paper format or electronically. Electronic bid submittal may only be made through www.oxfordmsbids.com. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders in the Project Manual.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award. The City of Oxford reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids if considered not in the best interest of the City of Oxford, Mississippi.

ARPA Provisions

Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors, and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material, and/or supply needs.

Any contract awarded under this invitation for bids is expected to be funded in whole or in part by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), Federal award number 107-2-DW-5.15 awarded to the City of Oxford by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
