200721 TASK 9 HSUD POWER POLES RELOCATIONS #15886

1) The purpose of this Request is to solicit a sealed Bid Proposal to provide the below listed service to the City of Holly Springs, Mississippi, for Unit Prices as outlined on the Bid

Proposal Form:

1.1. All work required relocate 31 existing power poles from their existing location to a new location shown on the attached drawings. The work should include the installation of new power poles at the specified locations. The depth of the hole must be 15 percent of the new pole’s height or as specified per the latest HSUD and/or NEC standard. The new poles must be fitted with bolts, cross arms, insulators, ground wires and arm braces including necessary parts for delivering safe and reliable electricity to HSUD customers. The work shall also include moving existing power lines from the old poles over to the new poles and to install new lines as required to transition the old pole alignment to the new pole alignment. The work shall also include service connections for HSUD customers and any switches, transformers, or associated equipment and facilities to maintain and/or restore full power to any customer affected by this pole relocation project. The successful contractor should work with HSUD to salvage and use existing poles in lieu of installing new poles for any pole deem adequate for installation.

2) The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of City of Holly Springs invite and will consider Bid Proposals, for the services described herein, and the award, if made will be at the lowest and best value to the City of Holly Springs. The anticipated start date of this contract is July 8, 2024. All Proposals shall be completed on the provided Bid Form(s), and submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing on the outside the name and address of the Proposer. One (1) original, as well as six (6) photocopies of the completed bid packet shall be included within the Proposers sealed envelope. Proposals shall be submitted to the Office of City Clerk, at the below designated address, by no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, June 14, 2024, and will be publicly read aloud at next Board of Aldermen meeting.
