Sealed, written formal bid proposals will be received by NOXUBEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, at 41 Gandy-Tindal Road, Macon, Mississippi 39341 at 2:00 P.M. (Local Prevailing Time) on March 7, 2024, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud, for A CAMPUS RENOVATION PROJECT AT B.F. LIDDELL SCHOOL FOR: NOXUBEE COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT (ESSER) (RE-BID).
The Noxubee County School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities, also to withhold the acceptance of any bid if approved, for forty-five calendar days from the date bids are opened.

All Contractors who intend to submit “BIDS” are ENCOURAGED to attend the NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE, which will be held on January 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM at B.F. Liddell School in Macon, Mississippi. Failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference will not result in rejection of submitted proposals.
Contract Provisions are based on guidance from the Mississippi Attorney General's Office as it relates to contracts with public entities in Mississippi and from the Mississippi Department of Education as it relates to the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) and other federal funding guidelines. Certain provisions are not subject to waiver or modification by the Owner.
All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi.
The successful bidder will be allowed 270 calendar days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the project. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 per day for each calendar day the work is not substantially complete.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and a Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount.
